Deleting Your Selah Account

This page explains how to delete your account and data for Selah — AI Bible Companion, published by Y7 Technology LLC. Selah signs every reader in anonymously, so you have an account even if you never chose Apple or Google. You can delete it the same way.

How to Delete Your Account — In the App

1. Open Selah. 2. Go to Settings (the gear icon). 3. Scroll to Account. 4. Tap Delete account. 5. Confirm. Your account and the data listed below are deleted immediately. You do not need to contact us.

How to Delete Your Account — By Email

If you cannot open the app, email support@y7technology.com from the address you signed in with, with the subject "Delete my Selah account". We delete the account within 30 days and reply when it is done. We may ask you to confirm from the same address — that is the only way we can tell it is you.

What Is Deleted

Deleted immediately when you delete your account: • Your account and sign-in identity (the email address from Google or Apple Sign In) • Your conversations in Ask — the questions you wrote and the answers Selah gave • Your backed-up reading record — saved verses, highlights and notes, reading progress, last-read place and reading plan • Your reading circles membership, your daily reading counts, and the prayers you sent or received Kept on your device only, and removed when you uninstall the app: • Your app settings — text size, theme, and language. These never leave your device, and deleting your account does not change them. Also removed from your device when you delete your account: • The device copy of your saved verses, highlights and notes, Ask history, last-read place, reading progress and reading plan, so nothing you saved is left behind on that device.

What Is Kept, and For How Long

Purchase records are kept after account deletion. We do not choose this — Apple, Google, and our payment processor retain transaction records to meet tax and accounting obligations, typically for seven years. These records identify a transaction, not your reading. Server backups may contain your data for up to 30 days after deletion, after which they are overwritten. Nothing is restored from them except to recover from a failure. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your conversations to train models.
